Project Management: Mastering Jira and Soft Skills in IT Education

Zhuldyz Sauelkhanovna Ismagulova, Associate Professor of the Department of Information and Communication Technologies, conducted a master class within the framework of the course “Information Systems Project Management.” Young lecturers of the department took part in the master class.

During the session, the main approaches to managing modern IT projects were discussed, with special attention paid to the development of important soft skills such as teamwork, leadership, time management, and team building. In addition, the capabilities of digital tools and platforms used in project implementation were demonstrated. In particular, the Jira platform was used to demonstrate project planning, task distribution, monitoring of project progress, and analysis of work results. Furthermore, students discussed their case projects and shared their experience of working in a real project environment.

The master class became a great opportunity for young lecturers to exchange professional experience and master modern educational technologies. Such master classes contribute to improving the pedagogical skills of young specialists and open new opportunities for introducing innovative methods into the educational process.
