30/03/2026

On March 19, 2026, ALT University named after Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev celebrated the grand opening of a specialized classroom: “Railway Track Design” within the Department of Transport Construction.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of prominent veterans of Kazakhstan’s railway sector: the recipient of the title “Hero of Labour of Kazakhstan,” Honorary Railwayman K.S. Sambetov, and Honorary Railwayman K.E. Estemisov, who symbolically cut the red ribbon.

Representatives from the “Magistral Network Directorate” of JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy,” including track distance managers and the university’s academic staff, attended the event. The new facility is designed to enhance practice-oriented learning and bridge the gap between academic theory and industrial operations.

This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals:

  • SDG 4 — Quality Education: integration of specialized technical tools into the curriculum.

  • SDG 8 — Decent Work and Economic Growth: preparing skilled human resources for a strategic national industry.

  • SDG 9 — Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure: advancing transport infrastructure through modernized education.

The launch of this laboratory marks a significant step toward developing highly qualified engineers who will drive the future of the transport industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
